Welcome to Christ Church!

Welcome! Whether you are looking for a new parish family or just visiting the area, we welcome you in the name of Jesus Christ. To the visitor, we would like you to know that all baptized Christians are welcome to receive communion here; We ask only that you are willing to participate in faith, knowing that it is the one Lord who welcomes all. If you are seeking a spiritual home and a community of faith, which will help you grow and find meaning in your life, then we invite you to join us in our worship and life together.

Christ Church has a long tradition of being a community parish. From the early days of this parish, we have been open to newcomers. Each successive generation has found that once here, Christ Church was a place to grow and a place where those who came in faith would find God.

Who are We?

We are an Episcopal parish in the Diocese of Rhode Island. We have nearly three hundred families and a large and active program for our young people. We are a growing parish with a large number of younger families.

Our Worship is centered on the Holy Eucharist (the Mass, the Holy Communion, the Lord’s Supper), which we celebrate on a weekly basis at both of our Sunday services. The Sacraments are important here; so is the education of our children. We have the largest children’s Christian Education program in northern Rhode Island.

We have six active music groups, and a large number of other groups, which do everything from run our Thrift Shop, work in a local soup kitchen, to collecting stuffed animals for Day One, the area’s local Sexual Assault Trauma center. Many of our families live in either Lincoln or Cumberland, but there are also many families from Smithfield, North Smithfield, Woonsocket, Pawtucket, Central Falls and the Attleboros in neighboring Massachusetts.
